3,4-Methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy, is a psychoactive drug primarily used as a recreational drug. The desired effects include altered sensations and increased energy, empathy, and pleasure. When taken by mouth, effects begin after 30–45 minutes and last 3–6 hours.

MDMA is the psychoactive drug that is 3,4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine. This comes in either powder or crystal form and is the active ingredient that is present in the ecstasy. The amount of MDMA is increasing over the years in the ecstasy pills in Europe.
mdma pill powder is generally swallowed in a bomb that is a powder wrapped in a cigarette paper or put in a gel cap. But sometimes people also consume it by grinding it up and snort or dab. Frequent snorting can damage the soft tissues and this is why not recommended.

Effects:

The MDMA powder crystals when snorted or swallowed up takes at least 20 minutes to show effects and the effects can last upto 2 hours or more. The effects are felt more quickly from snorting and snorting effects usually last from 3-6 hours. In some cases, the effects can be felt for up to 3 days.
This can make the person feel chatty, euphoric or even sexually aroused. People generally feel more connected to music and can make conversations more freely. It also increases the heart rate and the body temperature of the human body.
The other effects are hallucinations, enhanced sound and color, dilated pupils, difficulty urinating and anxiety, etc. Also, it can result in more difficulty in managing feelings of anxiety.

Precautions

• Make sure that you eat two hours before taking the MDMA.
• Make sure the pills have only MDMA and no other drug blended with it.
• Test the drug and if you are a heart patient, then it is advised not to consume the drug.
• Avoid mixing drugs with alcohol as it can cause unintended unpredictable effects.
